Gathering machines sort sheets of paper and cardboard into the right order, a process we call gathering. To put it simply, printing presses supply sheets of printed material, in stacks consisting of one specific page (or material, as the case may be). However, to create a ring binder, book, or sample book, the various pages and materials have to be compiled into one stack in the right order. Gathering machines grab single sheets off of every pile, creating stacks with everything in the right order for ring binders; they gather everything together neatly, meticulously organised.
Gathering machines can gather individual sheets of up to 498 x 350mm in size.
