Pasting at the kitchen table…
Frans Moeskops started this graphic finishing company in the 70s from home. His son Erik began helping him glue labels right at their kitchen table at the age of 12. The company grew over time and moved to its own building. Erik joined the company officially once he was old enough. He drove the company van, worked in every department, and got to know all of the clients over the years. In 1998, he took over the company from his father.
The future: getting ahead
New technologies and the meteoric rise of the internet turned the graphic industry on its head at the beginning of the 21st century; clients’ demand changed drastically, and printing companies had a tough time. Yet, Moeskops took steps to invest in new machinery and in good staff. For example, we were the first company in the world to acquire a milling machine that could process large-format cardboard sheets back in 2003, making us the envy of everyone who was even remotely involved in the graphic finishing industry. That same vision of investing in new developments prompted us to develop the Cantobox not too long ago, a box that is folded and die-cut with exceptional precision. We produce as little waste as possible, and are constantly thinking of ways to add allure to our products with beautiful finishing touches like magnets and rounded corners. In our view, the key to success is getting ahead in the market, and that is exactly what we do here in Hapert.
